Dear Loyal Patients

Great news! We have been given the all-clear to reopen on the 8th of June. While this is welcome news, it will still be some time until we get back to normal.
We have put in stringent new measures to protect our staff and our patients. We will update you on these measures shortly.

This does, however, mean that we will be able to see you face to face if you have a problem. We will be able to take x rays and make a full diagnosis.

Many of you were in the unfortunate position of finding yourself mid-treatment.

From the 8th of June, we will prioritise these cases and look to get your treatment finished as soon as we can.

While the Coronavirus remains a threat and a concern to us all. We have always had strict cross-infection measures in place to deal with other pathogens such as HIV, Hepatitis B and many more.  Dental practices have the highest standards of cross infection control and we have bolstered these with new technology.
So, while this is a new challenge, we are well prepared.

We are currently putting some restrictions in place. The waiting room will have chairs that are spaced 2mm apart, and we will be putting up screens in the reception area. On attendance, it will be necessary to wash your hands and it is always advisable to wear a face mask if you have one.
I would like to send a personal message of thanks to you all for your support over the last two months.
Many of you had to have your appointments deferred. We will be contacting you all soon to rearrange your appointments.

Some of you, unfortunately, did have emergencies and I’m happy that we could be of assistance to you. The dedicated team at C.A.R.E. Dental were on the phones every day helping emergencies.
We will gradually return to a ‘new normal’. I’m happy to say this is the beginning.
I also want to take this opportunity to welcome Dr Stathis Georgopoulos he is a general dentist with huge experience and will be joining the team here. He is very caring and has a calm nature. We wish him every success.
Kindest regards
Dr Amit Kotecha.

COVID-19, Emergency Service.

COVID-19, Emergency Service.

To all our valuable patients. Please stay isolated and stay safe.

It is in the moment we find ourselves in an international crisis. Here in the UK the pandemic is now reaching a phase where if we act to protect ourselves by social distancing, we can reduce the strain on the Health Service.

Dentistry is High Risk if Air turbines are used due to aerosol spread. We have been advised by the British Dental Association to cease all routine dental procedures that generate aerosol which is an ideal medium for the virus to transmit from person to person.

Over the last week, we have reduced our service to emergency only to reduce the risk of transmission for patients and staff. Carriers of the virus are asymptomatic for up to 10 days before showing any signs of illness, hence we must act now to reduce the spread of this disease.

Last Sunday we took the step to close the practice to public footfall for all routine care.

For the short term, all routine dentistry will cease, and we will be running an emergency service for our registered patients.

I stress, we are here for you during this difficult time. I can be contacted daily from 9am till 9pm including weekends. I can be contacted on 07919180188 for advice. I can also arrange skype/facetime or zoom consultations so we can talk face to face if needed.

If the need arises to attend the surgery, I will be available to open the surgery to provide treatment. It is most likely the treatment will be temporary until we are back up and running to a full service again, however definitive solutions will be provided where possible.

During this time, I thank you for your continued trust in us here at  C.A.R.E. Dental.

Stay safe and stay isolated.

Kindest Regards

Daksha Kotecha and the dedicated team at Care Dental.
